New Apple Search Engine May Be In The Works (Rumor)

Apple

Apple and Google have been rivals ever since Google followed Apple into the smartphone business with their launch of Android, Apple launched the iPhone in June of 2007 and Google launched Android September 2008.

According to a recent report, Apple may have a plan to take on Google in the search engine business, which is where Google generates the majority of its revenue from.

The guys from Cult of Mac have discovered an Apple job listing who is looking for an engineer to work on something called ‘Apple Search’.

The job listing goes on to say that the job would entail overseeing a “search platform supporting hundreds of millions of users.” and that they would “Play a part in revolutionizing how people use their computers and mobile devices.”

Many companies have tried to take on Google and their search engine, although it is still the most used search engine, it will be interesting to see if Apple will be able to take on Google if they do launch Apple Search.
